Founded in 2014 by Spencer S. Tait
The Snyder Group, LLC was founded in 2014 by Spencer S. Tait, a master craftsman and perfectionist. Spencer grew up working every opportunity he could in his family’s construction business. He knew from a young age he had a passion for building and wanted to pursue a career in that field. After spending many years working with family, he decided it was time to forge his own path and with that, The Snyder Group was born.
The Snyder Group started slowly as an owner operated business with Spencer working on projects during the day, making appointments for estimates in the evening and managing the business side after the kids went to bed. As most entrepreneurs will say, you make the sacrifice and work the long hours to grow; and grow we have. We have gone from one man and one truck working out of a one car garage to having 16 trucks on the road, surrounded by a full team of craftsman, office support staff and a fantastic facility to keep it all going. We contribute this success to our team that carry on the founding principles we built the business on.
We operate differently than most contractors. Although we are a contractor, most of our production team is in-house. Our team works directly for The Snyder Group full-time and allows us to have better control over scheduling while delivering a superior quality product. Because we self-perform nearly all tasks we can streamline the transition between each step of a project, better serving our clients. The few exceptions to our work are licensed trades; we do have several specialty or licensed trades that we partner with. We have been working with these specific tradesman for many years and have a deeply trusted relationships with each of them.
